I know it doesn't look pretty, but this aluminum radiator was ONLY $10. I picked it up from onefastrx7turbo on www.azrx7.com. He is building one MEAN looking 3 Rotor and has parts all over the place. I can tell there is a leak at the top of the radiator, but I think it can be cleaned up and fixed. My current stock radiator is perfectly fine, but for 10 duckets, I couldn't pass it up. It's probobly worth more than that as scrap!
Also got a catch can so there won't be any oil on the road when I am out boosting.
I bought this from 87 t-66 on http://www.rx7club.com/ along with the Series 5 Manifold. Thanks for a well-kept turbo and a helluva deal. This is what it looked like when I got it. Not bad, but we've added some surprises to this seemingly stock turbo. All I can say at this point is, the waste gate has been ported, and the serial numbers above the waste gate door have been shaved off. The other surprise on this baby is coming soon.

Now this port has a purpose and will actually help my engine breath. Overlap hasn't been increased much at all. But the shape of the port is smooth to help the air flow without resistance.Group Shot
The old Series 4 turbo was pretty cracked up. I decided to ditch it and go for the Series 5. More on that later.

Cracked and VERY worn rotor housing.
Busted coolant seal. This explains the coolant I had in my oil, but how did the gas get there...?
Port job done with a chisel! Oh, Did I mention this is the Primary Plate! Not sure what the hell this is supposed to do...
Trashed Rotor. (Makes a nice paper weight at work though)The sad thing is, this motor supposedly had 5K on a rebuild. The engine had oil and grease caked on it. There were multiple stripped bolts, electrical tape on the Turbo inlet duct, and JB Weld EVERYWHERE! Before it blew, the engine was compression tested at about 65-70 psi.
Blew the engine after doing ONLY 110mph, and then a couple donuts with my bud McNerney. Man, is that thing dirty.
Everytime I take short trips in my car, it has problems starting back up. I had this problem with my last RX7, but it wasn't this bad. This car has a fuel cut switch, I am always able to get the car running reletively fast, but this shouldn't be happening on an engine with 5k! 
So I took the injectors out. I had them flow tested at AZTPI.com . They were VERY knowledgeble and helpful when it came to injection systems (though the same wasn't true about rotary engines). Turns out, the injectors are fine. So it must be something with the workmanship of the engine...
After a nice wax, the Wife and I took her for a ride to South Mountain and snapped some shots.
After searching the country, I found a T2 in my own backyard. This one is about 40 miles north of Phoenix in Prescott Valley. I went to go see it once, and it was pretty fast. The body is REAL straight, other than a crack in on the bottom of the front bumper. It has been repainted, and could use a light buffing. But real nice.
Interior is less than perfect, but will give me a restoration project. Normal wear on the driver seat, cracked plastic parts, and messed up carpet... but it's in tact.
