The T04 Club

The T04 Club

Here is the new turbo set up. The MoTeC automatically tuned for the new turbo based on the lambda map, but the base fuel map needed to be changed. It was actually a pretty short process. Seems that the fuel system is more than maxed out though. So now I am on the hunt for an upgraded fuel system. I talked to a Honda friend of mine. He was stoked to learn that I maxed out 750cc injectors. But then again, he is a Honda guy!

I finally got my car through emissions. It only took 3 tries, and I had to disconnect the wastegate to keep the smog monkeys off the boost. I leaned the MoTeC out till she barely running. Check out the exhaust system I ran. HA! Catalytic and pipe to the back.

I had to track down an air pump, charcoal canister, and all the hoses that go with. Tracked them down from some guys in Buckeye that are building a track car. Still need to find the charcoal canister mounting bracket.

Working Out the Bugs

After I passed emissions and got my licence plate, I raced a late model C4 auto (roughly 305HP). The Kill and story can be found here. The race exposed some weaknesses with the car, so those are all being worked out now. My motor mounts weren't made very well, so I got a much better set. They are solid polyurethane mounts. You can see the difference in the first set.

To date, I've busted 3 K&N air filters. My Cold air intake was a little to low. I had it jet out just below the under tray, and never heard or felt them bust. But apparently the air filter was mounted two low.

Man, that looks nice. It's also very well placed. Notice, it is mounted up front, but doesn't block the radiator.
