Notice the drastic difference in this port compared to the original plate that came with this car. This one is much smaller, but smoother. The rest of the small block should be done tomorrow.

I've decided to use the stationary gears from a 3rd generation Rx-7 on my engine build. They have an oil passage machined in them that allows oil to stay behind the bearings (visible in these pictures). There is no extra machining involved, they match right up.

Here she is, the M2R, the Motec 2 Rotor. As far as I know, there is only one other guy to get this in the states, and he works for Motec USA. They just got this unit in from AUS a couple weeks ago. It gives me the power and tunablitly of Motec without all the extra drivers needed to run a piston motor. I was convinced to ge this route, rather than Haltech, due to the supurb software, and the adaptive ECU. Now I won't have to re-tune my car everytime the weather changes. There will definetly be more on this later.
My current interior makes my car look pretty old. So I've began my Black Interior conversion with a modest step... and nice, perfectly kept steering wheel. I got this from misterstyx69 on the forum, and I dont know if they kryogenically freeze stuff up there in Canada or what, but this thing looks like it's 2 years old, rather than 15! All in all, a great way to start the interior conversion.
I've finally lined up all the coated, ported, balanced and new parts, and they are ready for assembly.

This is a mess. The power steering rack was converted to manual, but it was a pretty slopy job. The hoses were left IN THE ENGINE BAY, still hooked up to the rack. It took up quite a bit of space and was ugly. I am taking the manual rack from an '86 NA to replace this one.
I like the S4, but don't like the interior. This blue-ish grey stuff just ain't cutting it. I think the S4 Interior is the one thing that makes my car look it's age. I am trying to line up a black S5 interior. I have a couple on the hook, and may be picking one up from CA in February. Black is Sexy!

My old rims are pretty slim, I think 6.5" wide. With the power I'm going to be making, I'll need more meat than that for sure! These 8" BBS rims have been sitting on a rolling shell since the tires went on the rims. Unfortunetly, there are only 2 tires, so I'll have to shell out a little extra for the new rubber. But these are pretty light rims and about as wide as I can go with stock suspension. Not crazy about gold, so I'll be painting the spokes black.

It didn't take very long for these to get coated. The exhaust port was ported before the housings were shipped out. Now that I have these back, the motor will be assembled. I don't have any pictures yet, but I also picked up FD stationary gears. They allow more oil to get to the bearings (which are also coated) than the stock FC gears. Should have pics of the gears soon.Elliot White of www.Turblown.net is doing an amazing job on this engine build. Paul Yaw of www.YawPower.com has been a great help with the MoTeC and tuning. Thanks
